LPG Scholarship Winner
Every year, LPG recognizes a stu- dent that goes above and beyond in academics, leadership and com- munity. This year, LPG is proud to recognize and award the scholarship to University of Oklahoma senior Braden Pittman. He is working toward completing his bachelors degree in accounting with a minor in nance. Pittman will continue his studies for a fth year and obtain his master's in accounting from the University of Oklahoma. Braden is a hardworking young professional who is active in his community, excels in his academic endeavors and has a clear direction for his future, MacDowell noted. His passion for his studies and enthu- siasm for his eld made him a clear winner for this years award. I am honored to be one of this year's recipients of the LGP Scholar- ship Award, Pittman said. I would like to thank Luxury Products Group and all those involved for their gen- erosity in funding the LGP Scholar- ship Award. This award will help me continue my academic journey and chase success. Thank you for this amazing opportunity and helping me reach my fullest potential.

PMI Members, Consultant to Address Industry Issues at EWTS

fairs consultant will address the industrys most urgent water and regulatory issues at the 2022 Emerg- ing Water Technology Symposium (EWTS). The event will take place from May 10-11, in San Antonio, Texas. Early bird registration runs to March 15. The seventh biennial EWTS is co- convened by PMI, the Alliance for Water Eiciency (AWE), the Ameri- can Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) and IAPMO. This year's symposium oers manufacturers, plumbers and all water-eiciency professionals plenty of networking and learning opportu- nities to explore industry challenges and new technologies to solve those challenges, said PMI CEO/Executive Direc- tor Kerry Stackpole. Packed with pre- sentations covering key topics for plumb- ing manufacturers, EWTS will explore water-related con- tent in the proposed Build Back Better Act, pathogen control in building water systems, water reuse and recycling impli- cations, performance requirements and a regulatory framework for non- sewered toilets, and more. On May 10, Christoph Lohr, vice president of strategic projects at PMI member IAPMO, will contribute to a panel of experts from 3:15-4:30 p.m. to discuss Eective Risk Man- agement of Building Water Systems for Pathogen Control. The panel will also include Janet Stout, Ph.D., president and director of the Spe- cial Pathogens Laboratory and a research associate professor at the University of Pittsburgh; Julius Bal- lanco of JB Engineering; and Matt Freije of hcinfo.com. Also on May 10, C.J. Lagan, leader of product testing and compliance, R&D engineering, xtures, at PMI member LIXIL, will present with several others in a session titled Overview of the Performance Requirements and Likely Regula- tory Framework for 'Reinvented Toilets. The session will focus on the potential of products that meet the ISO 30500 product standard for high performance non-sewered sanitation devices - also known as reinvented toilets - to address the needs of rural communities that don't have sewers. Other presenters will include Edward Osann, senior policy analyst with the Natural Resources Defense Council, and Clment Cid, Ph.D., senior research engineer with Linde+Robinson Lab. On May 11 from 3-4 p.m., Stephanie Salmon, PMIs federal government aairs consultant, will participate in a panel discussion on Implications of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Build Back Better Legislation on Water In- frastructure and Plumbing. Round- ing out the panel will be Ron Burke, president and CEO, AWE; Dain Han- sen, executive vice president, gov- ernment aairs, IAPMO; Osann; and a speaker from the Environmental Protection Agency.
